The Canadian rock band Arcade Fire just released their new album ”The Suburbs”. Also they just came up with a brand new interactive music video to the song ”We Used To Wait”. The video combines real video with satellite images from Google maps. By starting with entering your home street address the video will be taking place in your own neighborhood. Also it has to be mentioned – mostly for the geeks – this video is made using HTML5.. Try it out HERE [it works best with Chrome]

The trick is actually very simple… Take a picture of your surroundings and put it as your desktop wallpaper. Then place your computer very precisely and take a new picture. It now looks like your desktop is transparent. The example below and many many more are to be found HERE

I usually believe in very simple and user-friendly web design. However the new Converse site made by RGA really impresses me. There is something really organic over the way the menu items and pictures move and I spend a lot of time just browsing around. Take a look HERE

These two stop motion films blow me away! It almost looks like they are made with tilt/shift – but they are actually made with models, making it look like tilt/shift…. very clever!

I just finished a logo for a small indie record label called Peacock Records. They are going to release the new album we recorded with ”Lise Dres & The Black Circus” earlier this year. Feel free to comment on it and tell me what you think.

Finally! My bachelor assignment is done and turned in. Now I can only wait… In the mean time I have been playing a bit around with using typography to design with. I have always been kind of a typography geek and I think this way of using text for other text is kind of fun. Anyway this my first little test. I hope you like it.
